My Harley, Serena, and me before leaving New Mexico for Alaska

Introduction

In the summer of 1993, my friend, George, and I rode our Harley Davidson motorcycles from Alamogordo, New Mexico, to Fairbanks, Alaska. Our 25-day trip took a circuitous route to Northern Minnesota and back to Cheyenne, Wyoming, before finally heading north across Montana. We rode across the Canadian border and on toward the Alaska Highway known as the Alcan.

This web site chronicles the segment of this trip from Whitecourt, Alberta, to Fairbanks, Alaska. I use exceprts from the journal I kept, pictures I took, additional information gleaned from the Internet. Additionally, I provide links to some interesting sites for more information.

NOTE: In my journal entries, I refer to my Harley as "Serena."
